June 24, 2011
Time is rushing bye... I need to gather my bearings. it is the end of June already?! Speaking of time... here is a throw back homage to the lovely ladies of pinup. I sent my retro inspired swimsuits to a photographer last summer for a calendar shoot. Today the 2012 Calendar arrived. I thought it only fitting to gift this gem to my dad. I love the calendar, and so does he.

I love sifting through old photos of my family. Here is one I found of my mom awhile ago, I thought it would be fitting for this heat wave...

This weather has been pretty insane. Floods and Tornadoes, These storms caused my basement to flood and electricity to go out for days. No hot water, or even a phone line. And since everything runs on electric, I had to be patient for the weather to subside to travel to my sisters and charge my cell phone! Woah. But I am not complaining. We were lucky, and my heart goes out to the families that were hit much worse.
Now I am catching up on the lost work days, answering emails this weekend and spending time with my family. Yesterday my fiance and I traveld to Millersburg, PA, he helped family build an addition on to the house, while myself and a few other ladies lounged in the shade and enjoyed this view:

I do love Spring Cleaning. I took the advice from an article I read recently featuring Jess Zaino. Tips on cleaning out your closet. Over this past month I consigned 150 pieces from my closet. It feels great to be able to actually view everything hanging in my closet and the organized denim and sweater stacks. I even have my shoes organized by seasons, and have a wicker basket that i placed on it's side to house my handbags.
Since spring cleaning is on my mind, I decided to update this website. I deleted the archives section and got rid of older collections. Trying to keep my site clean and current. I added the long awaited s/s 2011 collection, shot by Meg Urbani. It's better late then never.
The Collection is called Spring Fling. I pulled from the Late Middle Ages, Italian Renaissance and the 18th Century. The collection is quit literal if you research those eras, you can see exactly what I pulled from. I enjoy inspiration from various eras and blending them together.

This week is a hectic one, actually every week is hectic when you are an independent label. I'm finishing custom prom and bridal ( I will post photos). Also closing sales on the f/w 2011 collection, planning the next s/s 2012 collection, meeting with stylists for editorial pulls and finishing up swim to shoot end of May.
Always busy... always creating...

I'm having a great start to the New Year. I am very lucky and gracious to have the Love and Support from Family and Friends. This past month I was offered the opportunity to show in NY Fashion Week. To my dismay I didn't have the funds needed to participate in the Event. With the help from Family and Friends and there Generous Donations, I raised enough money to participate! I am eternally Grateful. My NYC show is in 19 days.
In the meantime if you would like to PREVIEW 7 looks from the Fall 2011 Collection, please visit: The Galleries @ Moore College of Art and Design.

As this year swiftly comes to an end and the new year approaches...
I ponder upon accomplishments and the new goals set. It's a wonder how I do this all solo. For those that are not aware, this label is run by myself with love. I'm thankful for the interns that imprint in and out of my life. I am gracious for the love and support of my family and friends. No one seems to truly understand the sacrifices and roller coaster that one takes, striving for a dream, reaching for the stars. Whatever it may be, it all comes down to me.
I work the jobs I don't want just to stay afloat, pay bills and fund the label. At times I question my abilities as an artist and a person. Most times I dislike having to choose patterns, sewing, emails, packing, shipping, etc over spending time with my fiance.
I am passionate about my future. I strive to create beautiful art, and am delighted at the idea of evolution through my work.
and with those positive thoughts... I share this... I am currently showing a collection at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, PA
NBC's website called The Feast wrote a little something on the exhibition.
Dec 11, 2010 I've been hearing a lot about the movie the Black Swan. The Mulleavy sisters of Rodarte designed the costume for the film.

May 18, 2010 Stopped by Barnes & Nobles today and saw Susquehanna Style on the front of the news stands, when you walk in the door . Neato! It's a local Magazine in Central PA area. So if you are local to the Central PA area, go pick it up at Borders, Wegmans, Giant. I do apologize for the blurry photo! and the granny sweater, hair and no makeup... it was a long work day! ;)

May 12, 2010 At the request of my peers, I decided to start a blog. I thought my Facebook status would suffice, to see what I'm up to. Then I remembered that I'm set to private. Let's see, what do discuss... I'm going to give a brief update on things that have taken place in the past few months. I know I'm going to forget some things...

The piece was called The Stalker Project. My collection was named Death By Paparazzi. It is a Red and White Collection derived from the idea of Celebrity as Royalty and Paparazzi as the Stalker.

We were featured on OC Weekly
We also participate in numerous photo shoots for magazine submissions. I don't always post everything, usually the extras go on my Facebook for my family and friends to see. The photos below were shot in CA by photographer Bastian Hansen. Style by Erica Sanae

September 2008 I held my first solo show during NY Fashion Week. It was held at the Broadway Comedy Club. It was a great experiance. The night before the show I had the opportunity to meet up with Celebrity Stylist Jess Zaino for a Preview on my collection. She gave me amazing feedback.
