Kristen - Custom
Kristen came to me through a recommendation of our mutual friend Kelley. I was anxious when they reached out due to the timeline however I mean, when a friend recommends, you kinda have to at least meet the prospective client.
From the moment I met Kristen, I loved everything about her from her personality to her outfit! We were totally on the same page when it came to the design ideas. I allowed Kristen to pop in last minute in between other appointments... this is not a typical occurrence because as most of you know, it is JUST ME creating the gowns from concept to construction. I pour my heart and soul into each piece and often times am sewing up until the final appointments!!!
I started with a sketch to present to her... I am pretty sure she was sold on it...but I decided that we needed to play dress up and try on everything in the store. Um... great idea for Kristen but bad idea for me because this girl looked amazing in everything! NOW how would we narrow down our ideas??? I paid attention to every remark she and her family made during the fitting.
We finally came up with the idea of the crochet lace over the beautiful slinky mauve gown. At the final fitting we decided on flutter sleeves and I dropped the back lower... To top off the look I added a 3 point bustle for dancing.
Kristen is a KNOCK OUT! I am so in love with this dress and my new muse :)
Every single fitting was so much fun. It was like hanging with friends and family. I really enjoyed our time and your sister and mom are pretty awesome too!!
